  • Family Fitness and Wellness Fair

    Killeen ISD is hosting a Family Fitness and Wellness fair on April 26th from 8:00am-1pm. It will be located at the Killeen Parks and Rec athletic fields on WS Young. We will have lots of FREE activities for the entire family that promote nutrition and exercise! Some of the activities include a healthy cooking demonstration, rock climbing, fun run/walk, football camp and much more!

Welcome to the Killeen Independent School District web site. KISD proudly serves the central Texas communities of Killeen, Fort Hood, Harker Heights, and Nolanville. Killeen ISD is truly committed to achieving success for every student. We believe there are few things more important than the education of children.


Students attend 32 Elementary Schools (grades PK-5th), eleven Middle Schools (grades 6-8), four High Schools (grades 9-12), two alternative schools, the KISD Career Center and several specialized campuses. Killeen Independent School District has a total staff of 5,607. The staff is composed of 253 administrators; 459 professional support staff; 2,724 teachers; 1,230 secretaries and instructional aides; and 941 classified employees.
